Spiritual Warfare 101: How To Fight Back

"Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices."

This weekend, four NFL teams will step onto the field. Behind each one: 15 professional coaches earning a combined $10-15 million. Hundreds of hours spent dissecting film. Every opponent’s tendency mapped, every weakness identified, every possible scenario prepared for. They’re investing millions and sacrificing sleep to study an adversary they’ll face for three hours. They will do all of this… a game.

What about a life? If for a game professionals study and labor all year long, shouldn’t we study the playbook of our opponent?
Paul looks at the church and says too many of us are ignorant of the schemes of our adversary. And he has been studying your weaknesses since the day you were born.

Satan is an expert at what he does, isn’t he? Have you ever noticed he trips you up on the same play, exposing your same weakness again and again? He runs the same play against you for years. Can you really afford to be ignorant of his strategies? What would life look like if you didn’t self-destruct in your marriage, at your workplace, with your kids? What if you were no longer ignorant of Satan’s tricks?
