Learn to Love Without Getting Run Over
- 2 Samuel 10:1-19
- Josh Akin
What should you do, when Christians hurt you?
Many of us think the Devil preferred weapons are bombs, and sickness, hunger, and loneliness. But is there a place more prayerful, than a bomb shelter or hospital room? Satan prefers to do his work in the church. The Bible calls him “the accuser of the brethren,” Christians are his target. His diabolical work is most done in the home, between friends. When an enemy turns against you, you hide. If the world tears you down, you run to Jesus, but where will we go when Christians hurt us? Chapter 10 gives us an illustration of how to love others, to love responsibly, and what to do when we are hurt by the people we love.
