Find Out All About the Antichrist

May 11, 2022 | Josh Akin

Most Christians think of the Antichrist as someone out of a horror movie, but the truth is far worse.

Revelation 6 and 13 teach us what he will be like, what he will do, and why the whole world follows after him.

Did you know we recorded this week's Bible study right before the 2020 Covid shutdown?

This Bible study video will give you chills when you learn how the world follows after the Antichrist during the Tribulation period. It bears striking similarity to the 2020 shutdown.

Think about this: Much less than 1% of the world's population died from Covid-19. (Here's a World Health Organization study on the subject.) Despite the relatively low mortality rate, more than a billion people were locked in their homes, or received injections; millions and millions had their educations, occupations, and family relationship devastated.

Revelation 6 says that during the first 3 1/2 years of the Great Tribulation 25% of humanity will perish. Then Antichrist comes with a solution, and everyone, but those who put their faith in Jesus during that time, will follow the Antichrist with deadly consequences.

It's a vital study that is not just about the future. As we learn in this week's study the mystery of the Antichrist is in the world today. People follow counterfeits of Jesus all around us. We need to learn how to set Jesus before us, and to accept no one but Him.

Revelation 6 and 13

Read Revelation 13:8. When the Antichrist comes on the scene, everyone but believers in Christ worship him. In life, have you ever noticed that a genuine Christ-follower is less likely to fall for something or someone than others?

Read Revelation 6:8 and 13:16-17. After 1/4 of the world population perishes, the survivors world-wide readily take a number-mark in their body. In what ways is it similar and in what ways is it different than the 2020 Covid Shutdown?

Read 1 John 2:18 and 1 John 4:3. So, the spirit of the Antichrist is in the world even before the Rapture and the Great Tribulation that follows. In our study Josh relates this to people readily following Christians, or seemingly Christian leaders, who do and say good things; influencers who are ministers of good but not ministers of God. Have you ever been a part of a group like that, or followed a person like that? Discuss.
