Baptism Sunday

Baptism is an outward display of an inward decision for Christ.   All believers are called by God to identify with Christ, His death and resurrection, by being baptized.  This rite draws together believers from every period of history, and every part of the world, as a symbol of the new life we receive through faith in Jesus Christ.

Who

Baptism is the first step in showing others the faith God has put in your heart. If you haven't personally taken this step of faith, we encourage you to do so. 

In the Bible babies are not baptized.  So at GraceBuilt, baptism is for those old enough to have a personal faith in God -- 5 years old or older.  If you were baptized as a baby -- not because of personal faith, but because of someone else's decision -- we encourage you to be baptized as an expression of your own personal faith.

What To Bring

• Wear regular clothes.  Towels will be provided, your welcome to bring a change of clothing and your own towel if you like.   
• Bring friends and family.  Invite others to witness your public display of faith.

Where the Baptisms Be? What's Do I Do to Be Baptized?

We will have a nice warm baptismal right next to the platform in front of the sanctuary.  At the conclusion of the Bible study, during our closing worship time, our pastor will invite all who believe in Jesus and who are ready to be baptized to line up in front of the baptismal.  Those who would like to be baptized are encouraged to come right up.  No sign up is necessary.

The children will be brought back from the Kids Department to sit with their parents at the beginning of the baptism period.

The church is providing a BBQ right after our worship time.  If you like, bring a side dish.
